Rock Climbing

GUIDED ROCK CLIMBING AND /OR RAPPELLING (RC)

Get that “aired-out” feeling, while climbing almost 3000’ above the Shenandoah Valley floor*. This is an unforgettable experience that will make your trip to Shenandoah National Park complete*… a full day of adventure for both young and young at heart. All necessary gear, plus a “guides ration” lunch, is provided. Advance registration is required. This is an introductory thru intermediate level climbing program.

The climbing programs are not extraordinarily physically demanding (for a person of average fitness), but they can be psychologically challenging.
All participants should bring a camera for this exciting day!
*For convenience, we have permits for guiding at climbing sites throughout the four state (PA, MD, VA and WV) region.

TECHNICAL ROCK CLIMBING CLASS – KNOTS AND ANCHORS (ANCHOR)

This is a CLASS, taught on the rocks, designed to provide the average recreational climber (who has relied on a knowledgeable climbing partner to tie knots and set anchors) with the skills they need to know to climb safely with family and friends.

This highly interactive course is designed to teach, demonstrate, practice and evaluate the skills required to begin or advance your technical climbing ability regardless of your current experience level.
